Jeff is a professional coach and facilitator with over thirty years of experience in the coaching world. He works with clients to manage change, enhance performance, discover cutting-edge solutions, bring humanity to work, and create sustainable working environments.
He took his first Co-Active Coaching course in 1997 and instantly fell in love. He became a faculty member in 1999, and since then has taught CTI’s coaching curriculum, worked as a Supervisor and Certification Program Leader, and co-leads CTI’s Leadership Program.
Prior to coaching and training, Jeff studied Asian culture and language for years throughout East and Southeast Asia and went on to teach Mandarin Chinese to business leaders from Ford, Motorola, and Texas Instruments.
Jeff helped grow Co-Active Coaching in China from 2009-2015 by auditioning and training the CAC China faculty. He lived in Shanghai from 2012-2015.
Jeff is known for helping anyone he supports to cultivate fun and purpose in the work they do.
He lives with his husband and their cat in Portland, Oregon, and is the author of the novel The Boy Who Couldn’t Fly Straight, the first in his Young Adult queer paranormal adventure series (he likes adjectives).
I have been a Front of the Room Leader, a CPL, a supervisor, an examiner, and a Leadership Program Leader for CTI since 1999. I currently focus on FORL and leading the Leadership Program. I have a BA in Asian Studies and a Chinese Language Minor. I was instrumental in building the Co-Active Coaching Program in China. I specialize in leadership development and communication, and helping people find their passions at work and in their personal lives. Outside of work I enjoy the sport of trick jump rope, and writing queer YA fiction novels.
