The Confidence Gap— Why Knowing Isn’t the Same as Doing

After completing Foundations, many learners feel energized and motivated  and ready to enhance their skills. Ignite meets you at that moment of possibility, giving you a structured environment to practice, experiment, and grow your coaching presence. Where Foundations strengthens your mindset, Ignite strengthens your skillset– helping you develop confidence through direct application and real-time feedback.

How Does Ignite the Practice Build Coaching Confidence?

Ignite transforms coaching knowledge into embodied capability through three core elements:

1. Coaching Real People on Real Challenges

In Ignite, you’ll go beyond conceptual learning and begin coaching real people navigating real situations. Each conversation becomes a learning opportunity where you uncover your own coaching style and agility. This hands-on practice helps you:

  • Strengthen trust in your coaching abilities
  • Stay present and  curious, even in uncertainty
  • Recognize how authentic connection fuels transformation

2. Expert Mentorship That Accelerates Growth

You won’t go through this journey alone. Each Ignite course is co-led by two world-class Co-Active faculty members, who model partnership, demonstrate effective coaching in real time, and provide feedback that supports your growth.

You’ll learn to:

  • Identify potential  blind spots
  • Sharpen listening and questioning skills
  • Integrate feedback into your next session

This co-leadership model ensures you feel supported, guided, and challenged in ways that accelerate your development.

3. Skill-Building Through Practice and Reflection

The experience in Ignite follows a cycle of:
Practice → Feedback → Reflection → Integration

This repetition builds muscle memory, helping coaching skills become natural and intuitive.

You’ll walk away with:

  • Tools for engaging clients effectively
  • Skills for guiding conversations with confidence
  • The ability to hold space for emotion, insight, and breakthrough

What Specific Skills Will I Develop?

Ignite the Practice equips you with the essential skills for coaching others with confidence and clarity. You’ll develop:

  • The ability to facilitate meaningful, transformative conversations
  • Advanced listening and presence skills
  • Confidence working with silence, emotion, and uncertainty
  • Strategies for enrolling and engaging clients
  • Techniques for giving feedback that unlocks potential
  • Trust in yourself and the Co-Active process

These skills aren’t theoretical —they are developed through experiential practice and reflection.

“What If I Get Stuck?” Overcoming Common Coaching Fears

Ignite is intentionally designed to meet you in moments of uncertainty.

Fear #1: “I won’t know what to ask next.”
Ignite Solution: Faculty help you learn to trust your curiosity and rely on the Co-Active Model.

Fear #2: “What if my client doesn’t get results?”
Ignite Solution: You’ll learn that coaching success is rooted in partnership, not problem-solving.

Fear #3: “How will I find people to coach?”
Ignite Solution: Ignite offers opportunities to coach and provides strategies to help you begin building your practice confidently.

Mentorship and Practice— The Heart of Confidence

Mentorship turns learning into mastery. Every coaching session includes:

  • Insightful faculty feedback
  • Supportive peer reflection
  • Opportunities for integration

Over time, these cycles help you notice your progress — the growing ease in silence, the powerful question that shifts a client’s thinking, the deeper trust in your intuition.

This is how real coaching confidence develops.
