How Do I Get My ACC Certificate Through Co-Active?

The ACC certificate, formally the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), is recognized in worldview as the foundational mark of professional coaching competence.

Co-Active’s ACC Package offers an ICF-accredited Level 1 program that includes a complete, structured pathway to everything you need to apply for your ACC certificate with ICF. With the Co-Active pathway, your ACC journey is built and guided. You don’t piece it together yourself. You follow one coherent arc from the first practice session to ready to apply—all within Co-Active’s globally recognized methodology and ecosystem.

What’s Included in Co-Active’s ICF ACC Supervision Package

E

4 group supervision calls: Join live, on-camera coaching practice with a cohort and senior Co-Active supervisor.

E

2 individual supervision calls: Receive personalized feedback on your coaching presence and skill development.

E

Asynchronous learning modules: Deepen your integration of the Co-Active Model with ICF Core Competencies on your own schedule.

E

Asynchronous exam: Submit a recorded coaching session for performance evaluation (no additional fee for first attempt)

E

Letter of completion: Receive official documentation to apply for your ACC certificate through ICF

You may begin logging client coaching hours toward the 100 hours required to apply for your ACC certificate from the start of Ignite the Practice.

How It Works

The ACC Supervision Package runs over 3 months. At registration you choose a session schedule, then meet weekly for Group Supervision and monthly for Individual Supervision on Zoom. After completing all requirements and passing your Asynchronous Exam, you receive your Letter of Completion and are eligible to submit your ACC certificate application to ICF.

Already completed Ignite the Practice? You can add the ACC Supervision Package separately and join an upcoming cohort.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be certified to join Ignite the Practice?
No. Ignite the Practice is the next step after Foundations and does not require prior certification, just completion of Foundations.
What business skills will I learn?
You’ll practice structuring coaching sessions, working with real clients, and gaining the confidence and professional habits needed to start or grow a coaching practice.
How long is the Ignite program?
Ignite the Practice is a 5-day program delivered in two parts: the first part is three consecutive live online days, and the second part is two consecutive live online days, with additional self-paced learning in between.
Will I get clients during the program?
You’ll coach real people in structured practice and pods, which helps you gain experience and confidence you can immediately bring to your own clients and network.
What is the difference between Ignite and Deepen?
Ignite the Practice focuses on building practical coaching skills and confidence (CAP level), while Deepen the Work is a longer certification program that leads to the CPCC and ICF Level 2 training hours.
Can I get my ACC certificate through the Co-Active Training Institute?
Co-Active’s ICF ACC Supervision Package, combined with Ignite the Practice, satisfies the full requirements for the ICF Level 1 pathway to apply for your ACC certificate, including 60+ hours of accredited training, group and individual coaching supervision, a performance evaluation, and a Letter of Completion for your ICF application. The ACC certificate itself is awarded by ICF upon approval of your application.
How long does it take to pursue my ACC certificate through Co-Active?
Ignite the Practice runs over 5 days, and the ACC Supervision Package is a 3-month program. Your readiness to submit your ACC certificate application to ICF will also depend on when you complete your 100 required client coaching hours, which you can begin logging from the start of Ignite the Practice.
What makes Co-Active's ACC certificate pathway different from other ICF Level 1 programs?
Co-Active’s methodology is one of the most researched and globally practiced coaching models in the world. This pathway doesn’t adapt a generic curriculum to meet ICF standards. The Co-Active Model and the ICF Core Competencies are taught as an integrated whole, with supervised practice built in from the start. At the end of the program, you’ll have everything ICF requires to submit your ACC certificate application: the training hours, supervision, coaching log, and performance evaluation.
