CTI Policies & Student Guidelines

Thank you for choosing CTI! You are about to embark on a transformative journey of personal and professional leadership, and we are very excited to support your journey in the best way possible.  In order to foster a healthy working relationship, we ask that you familiarize yourself with our policies prior to beginning your coursework. Please note that our policies may differ depending on where you live. Some local laws and regulations require alterations to these terms and conditions which will automatically occur, in particular:

Student’s Right to Cancel

Subject to “Refund Policies” below, you have a right to cancel your enrollment and receive a refund by emailing registration@coactive.comby or by delivering a written notice to: The Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), ,899 Northgate Drive, Suite 304, San Rafael, CA 94903. You may not cancel orally or by telephoning CTI, nor by choosing to not attend a course for which you are registered (unless expressly allowed by law).

Course Attendance and Tardiness

If any time before or during your course you are going to be late or unable to attend, please call 1-800-691-6008, Option 3, so we can inform the course leaders.

A participant missing more than one (1) hour of the course will be required to reschedule in order to get credit for the course. There will be a transfer fee to reschedule the course.

CTI’S Right to Cancel

In rare cases, CTI may choose to cancel/reschedule courses at its discretion. CTI will not be responsible for costs that may be incurred by students as a result of such cancellations or rescheduling.

Right of Refusal

CTI reserves the right to refuse a student participation in courses and/or programs.  In addition, CTI, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to remove from a classroom a student who is negatively impacting other students and/or the learning environment.

Use of CTI’s Intellectual Property

CTI students may use materials presented during their course work, including materials on CTI’s Learning Platform only in the context of their coursework or in performing services directly on a one on one basis for their coaching clients, provided that they indicate it is copyrighted CTI material.  If a client is provided with any materials the CTI student must inform the client that the materials may not be re-used or reproduced and must indicate that all CTI materials are proprietary intellectual property of CTI. Any use of CTI’s materials or other intellectual property beyond one-to-one coaching is not allowed without the specific written approval of CTI.

Privacy Policy

In conformance with our privacy policy located here: https://coactive.com/privacy. CTI will need to obtain your personal and demographic information in order to secure your registration and to comply with applicable legal requirements. To register for a course, you must provide contact information (e.g. name, email and mailing address) and financial information (e.g. credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for government reporting, billing purposes and to fulfill your registration needs. If we have trouble processing an order or a payment, we will use this information to contact you.

Sharing of Information

CTI will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, except as required by law and outlined herein. We do share Names, City, State, Zip, Phone Numbers, and Emails via a Course Roster supplied to your Course Leaders, Course Assistants, and fellow students in order to connect outside of the course room and to further develop your coaching skills. It is strictly not permitted to solicit other students in your course for personal marketing or solicitation of any kind. Additionally, when we act as a supervisor or mentee you agree and will have your underlying clients agree in writing that there are conditions under which confidentiality may not be maintained (e.g. illegal activity, pursuant to a valid court order or  subpoena; imminent or likely risk of danger to self or others; etc).

CTI reserves the right to terminate any relationship and revoke any credentials in the event it determines in its sole discretion that a student or graduate has violated the ICF code of ethics.
