I am a leadership coach, motivational speaker, and faculty member here at CTI (Co-Active Training Institute), where I help folks develop the skills and presence to coach and lead with confidence and authenticity. I am known for my dynamic approach to working with clients and love working with certification students as they seek out their professional accreditation. Drawing from personal experience, I rely on compassion and honesty, along with a commitment to uncovering and celebrating individual strengths and potential.
I am the Co-Founder and CEO of the non-profit Beyond the 11th. This work empowering Afghan widows was born of my journey into widowhood when my husband was killed on 9/11. In 2010, President Obama awarded me with the Presidential Citizens Medal. I delivered a TED talk in 2019 entitled the Transformative Power of Small Choices and am the subject of the documentary film, Beyond Belief.
As a coach, I am known as a compassionate truth teller, enabling me to quickly build trust with my clients. I’ve seen how obstacles can turn into opportunities, even when it doesn’t seem possible at first.
I live in the suburbs of Boston with my husband. I am a mother of four (3 launched), a podcast junkie, a lover of dogs, and am obsessed with pickleball. I love my veggies and staying fit, but you’ll often catch me scrolling on my phone, munching on whatever sweet treat I can find. I continuously set and accomplish big goals for myself, and I enjoy nothing more than supporting others as they do the same.
