Fueling the Flames of Potential

Unlocking potential was the theme for this year’s International Coaching Week, and in her keynote, Carey Baker - CTI’s CEO, discussed what this meant to her and how we need to access courage to “fuel the flames of potential.”

At CTI we believe people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. Unlocking potential is about becoming more of who we already are. One of the questions Carey poses to every leader is:

“Am I willing to disrupt myself in order to unlock the potential and find the courage it takes to be successful in my mission?”

Carey explains: 

“My Co-Active training taught me that potential isn't something a person has to find outside of themselves. It’s not something we’re lacking and need to acquire – something we need to add on to become whole. Unlocking potential is a journey and a devoted practice of people becoming more of who they are, unleashing aspects of themselves that have either gone dormant, have atrophied or have never been accessed. But the potential has always been there.”
