The Leadership Program has been one of our most transformational Co-Active experiences, helping people uncover their power and their purpose for more than 20 years. The paths it has opened and the missions it has inspired remind us every day of the remarkable things that happen when people step up to shape their own lives.
Hear from some of our Leadership Program alumni about what they set out into the world to do after their programs.
With Gönan Premfors
Gönan’s leadership quest was to create Parentology, a workshop that explores the parent-child relationship in a whole new way, giving parents the tools they need to have meaningful and empowering relationships with their children. Parentology has now reached thousands of people. It’s been translated into 3 different languages and has been delivered in countries from Mexico to Canada, the United States, Spain, the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Egypt, and Singapore. Gönan has also delivered a TEDx talk on Parentology principles. It wasn’t until she started the Leadership Program that Gönan gained the belief that she was the one to bring this mission to life.
With Emmanuelle Verhagen
Emmanuelle’s leadership quest was to create legacy, especially with regards to inclusion and sustainability, and they went on to champion rights and policy changes in parliament for children born intersex. Today they have spoken in parliament, are co-authoring a paper on human rights, and have written and performed in a play to give voice to the intersex conversation in Belgium. Emmanuelle views much of what they do as contributing to this legacy and credits the Leadership Program for helping them discover this life purpose. The program also helped them develop their leadership, fundamentally changing their approach from top-down leadership to self-leadership, in full understanding of what’s present for them and others in each moment.
With Phillip Cave
Phillip came from a technology background, where he’d witnessed that people from an early age were taught the technical skills to succeed, but none of the human ones. Phillip’s experience of the program was one of reconnection and self-discovery. He said it forced him to confront his identity in a way that challenged his long-held beliefs about himself. The program helped him reconnect with the parts of him that wanted to heal, so he set out on a leadership quest to humanize the world of tech by coaching and consulting with tech leaders on their human skills. His particular focus area is to help tech leaders find greater balance in how they lead their organizations, bringing more humanity into an otherwise very results-driven world. Phillip now has his own leadership program, which helps tech leaders pivot into being more human.
