Co-Active Scholarship Program

The 2022/2023 Scholarship Application Period Has Closed

As we are currently serving awardees from the 2022-2023 scholarship cycle, applications for the Co-Active Scholarship are currently closed. For those interested in being notified when the next round of scholarship applications open, please sign up via the "Notify Me" section below.

The Co-Active Scholarship Program is an initiative co-created by CTI and our community to help enable Co-Active Training to become more accessible. This initiative is rooted in committed action, to increase both the visibility and access of coach services and coach training. The program offers opportunities for individuals in need of financial support to attend CTI training courses as well as participate in various community projects to expand the reach of Co-Active Training around the world.

In its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and wholeness, CTI’s vision is to offer fully sponsored places in its online Co-Active Professional Coach Training Program along with offering a limited number of opportunities for full and partial scholarship to the Co-Active Professional Coach Certification program. In addition to those directly impacted by war and displacement from their home countries, the scholarship program prioritizes those from marginalized communities (which includes underrepresented racial/ethnic communities, people with disabilities and those who identify as trans).

In the spirit of service and paying it forward, we ask recipients of a Co-Active Scholarship to commit to providing ten hours of pro-bono coaching and/or participate in a community project for each fully sponsored class awarded. Last year scholarship recipients donated over 3,000 hours of service to their respective communities.

FAQ

Please do not contact CTI directly with questions, as the scholarship program is managed by a team of volunteers. You can email the Scholarship Committee with any questions that haven’t been answered here.

For the CTI Opportunity Scholarship, income verification is required via your most recent tax filing. For those who have been affected by Covid-19 layoffs, other supporting documents may be requested (confirmation of layoff, current unemployment status, etc.).

In consideration of different costs of living globally, while there is no specific income limit set for each application, incomes of $75,000 or higher for individuals ($125,000 or higher for most families) should apply via the CTI Award Scholarship application. During the pilot of the program, successful awardee annual incomes fell in the range of $25,000-$47,000.

For CTI Reward Scholarship applications, while there are no income limits, please be aware that there are limited Reward Scholarship awards available.

The only prerequisites apply to the order in which you must take classes in the Co-Active Coaching curriculum and meeting the income limits listed on the scholarship program page.

Given limited availability, please select the offerings that you are interested in that align with your purpose and commitment to creating meaningful change in the world.

Currently, your application must be completed in one sitting. You are not able to save your application to be completed later. We recommend that you prepare your essays, video and income statement before starting the application process.

For those applying for the CTI Opportunity Scholarship, you will need to submit a form to assess your financial need. Please provide the following:

  • Most recent tax filing (meeting the required income limits listed above)
  • For those that are unemployed related to the COVID-19 pandemic, please provide a letter from your HR department confirming your employment status and income verification.

The scholarship program page and application form has been designed to easily upload documents, including your video submission. If you have any technical problems, please reach out to the scholarship committee. Given the volume of applications, the committee will aim to reply to your question(s) within two business days. Please do not contact CTI or their customer service team directly.

Both the CTI Opportunity Scholarship and the CTI Reward Scholarship applicants are required to answer the questions listed in the application form and submit a short video. In addition, the CTI Opportunity Scholarship applicants will also be required to submit an income/unemployment statement.

We have a rigorous application review process led by an independent Scholarship Selection Committee made up of CTI faculty and CTI graduates. Scholarships are allocated across the globe for CTI’s course offerings and are awarded to the highest scoring applicants. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final; given the volume of applicants, once decisions are made, no further communication about award decision will be shared.

The scholarship committee will notify all applicants within six to eight weeks after the submission deadline as to whether they received the scholarship.

Once successful selected, the committee will notify you directly and give you information on how to apply for the awarded Co-Active class experience.

Yes. Scholarships can expire for a few reasons. If you don’t enroll in classes within a certain time period (approximately 2 months). If you are concerned about your status at any point, please discuss this with the scholarship committee.

Upon submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your application.
